❤ Saint Valentine ❤

Hello Blog Bunnies!!

It Is Emani Mone and I am so sorry I haven't posted in about 6 days. BUT, the reason being is because I have some exciting content for coming up for you guys and my online store (PoliteSocietyStore.com) and even more contests for both my blog and website! I am going to start traveling more AND I am planning to move mid-summer! So yeah I am doing the absolute most and I/m still in school ha! I can handle it ;)
But anyway, since it is Valentines Week it is only right that my posts coordinate with that. Awhile ago I was on my Pinterest account (you can follow me @emanimone) and I saw these pretty pink cookies! I was like omgsh is it food coloring is it a flavor?! I knew once I found out how to make them I would definitely have to share it with you guys and gals. So here it is ❤

Ingredients

1 box (18.25 oz) strawberry cake mix, like Duncan Hines
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 large eggs
1/3 cup vegetable/canola oil
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 and 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Directions

Preheat oven to 350F. Line large baking sheet with parchment paper or silicone baking mat. Set aside.
In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix and baking powder. Set aside. In a smaller bowl, whisk together the eggs, oil, and vanilla by hand. Add the egg mixture to the cake mixture and stir to form a dough- stir vigorously until all of the pockets of dry cake mix are gone. Gently mix in the chocolate chips.
Drop rounded balls of dough, about 2 Tablespoons each, onto prepared baking sheet. Stick a few more chocolate chips on top of the cookie dough balls if you want them for looks, if desired. Make sure the balls of dough are taller than they are wide. See here for more details.
Bake for 10 minutes – do not let the cookies get brown. Allow to cool on baking sheet for 3 minutes; they will be very soft at first. As they cool, the tops may settle down; press them down gently with your fingers if they are not sinking much. Transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to one week.

This Recipe Makes About 2 Dozen Cookies and Takes About 15-20 Min To Make

The strawberry flavor is a great substitute from the normal chocolate flavor around this holiday. I recently started eating more strawberry flavored things thanks to my boyfriend and this cake mix is SOOOOOO good just like when I use vanilla cake mix this strawberry leaves me licking the bowl :p Plus the cute color is a plus whether you have a bake sale or just want to give cookies to your friends! Hope you try it! And if you do tag me in on Instagram - EmaniMone
