Its Emani Mone here and yes! I know it is still winter but if you live on the East Coast like I do I know you're ready for this weather to break. Along with the weather breaking you have to have the clothes along to match. So here are the Spring/Summer trends for 2014 you can prepare to wear, mix and match and love now!
№ 1. Iridescent

For a bolder look you can go for a iridescent/holographic dress or skirt and to tone it down you can simply add a holographic clutch just like the one above that you can find on Polite Society Store.
№ 2. Mesh

During the winter you can add a thicker layer underneath so you wont freeze your butt of trying to stay on trend. BUT in the spring summer you can add a simple black or an electrifying blue bandeau or camisole to show your daring side or even through a skirt.
№ 3. Full Skirts

From left: Tracy Reese, Christian Dior and Roksanda Ilincic
We've seen this style through out the winter paired with tights and boots. But, in the summer we plan on either wearing a strappy sandal, a kitten pump or trainers.
№ 4. White Blouses

From left: Rachel Zoe Collection, Viktor & Rolf and Preen by Thornton Bregazzi
On the runways this season I've seen the white shirt get reinvented with asymmetric cuts, necktie detailing and embellishments.
№ 5. Luxe Sweatshirts

From left: Antonio Berardi, Peter Som and Christopher Kane
As we all know Sweatshirts have made their way out of the gyms and onto the backs of everyone from Rihanna to Obama. Well not really ;) lol. But, in the summer we're going to see splashes of color instead of the winter black and white print we've been seeing everywhere.
№ 6 Suits

From left: L'Wren Scott, Ralph Lauren and Antonio Berardi

Next the power-suit. Now the first person I could think of whom could've started this trend is June Ambrose. She is the queen of the power-suit. Try a bold pattern or color mixture if you are not scared but if you are try a pastel for the spring. Im thinking a mint green or baby pink?
№ 7 Pastels

From left: Jason Wu, Rag & Bone and Honor
Speak to your sweet side this spring with soft pastels. Soft lavenders, blush pinks and mint greens OH MY! Embellish this expected spring trend with mirroring jewels like necklaces and bracelets.
№ 8. Black & White

From left: Narciso Rodriguez, Richard Chai Love and Helmut Lang
No shades of grey here. This black and white trend is easy to work with although you can contrast with a black and white printed shirt or skirt as posted above.
№ 9 Pure Athleticism

From left: Lacoste, John Galliano and Victoria Beckham
Now this trend has been sneaking up on us for awhile now. From the leather baseball caps, to the bomber and varsity jackets and how can we forget the tennis skirt. I know I bought a couple for the spring.
№ 10. Geometric Prints

From left: Carolina Herrera, Peter Pilotto and Fendi

Flashback to geometry class for next season's print craze: grids, triangles, concentric circles and more.
